My heart is so saddened by your passing, yet I am thankful that you are no longer in pain. It has been such a joy and honor to have known you Rhea. You are one in a million….from your quick wit, to your intellect and wisdom, as well as your yummy baked goods, your love of Snoopy and Doris Day movies! Your presence in my life will be forever missed. Rest In Peace my dear friend. With sincere condolences to the Mahaney family…she loved you all so very much!
Rhea was many things to us, we mostly called her Miss-A-Haney or Ma'am. She was my Mom's best friend for decades and as she always liked to say they were the original BFFs. She was not only our next door neighbor but more of a second mother. I fondly remember her collection of movies and love for the Muppets. She always called me Lydia from the movie Beetlejuice because I myself am strange and unusual. She always "got me". I was blessed to stay in touch with her all these years since we moved away and even after my Mom died. Talking with her always made me feel close to my Mom in a way no one else will ever be able to. I am happy that they are together again sharing a cup of coffee or two and looking down on us, truly best friends forever. Thank you to the Mahaney family for sharing her with us. I am so sorry for your loss and the pain you are going through. What an incredible legacy of love she has left behind.
