Dear Kevin and the Zent & Gawrys Family. I am so sorry for your loss especially for one who is so young and there are no words that can take away the pain or the hurt, Even though I did not know Nicholas personally I know his stepdad Kevin Zent and I just wanted Kevin to know that everyone from faith formation is praying for you and especially for Nicholas and his family. Nick,
You were one of my closest friends from 3rd grade to early high school. So many summers spent in the sun on our bikes playing football, airsoft, swimming and concluding with poker at night. I gained so much impactful music and comedy from things you shared with me in those formative years- a diet of The Strokes and Demetri Martin. In our Amherst friend group you were the one we all looked up to- you had that charm about you that could influence what the entire group wanted to do. Your conviction was infectious and something I always tried to instill in myself. I wanted to be as sure as Nick. We all did. Somewhere, the Nick I knew well is waiting for me on a sunny summer day, on a bike with no responsibilities, but adventure. I will love you always my dear old friend.
