
Obituary of Anthony T. Balistrere
Anthony T. Balistrere, 58, of Amherst, New York died on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at
Millard Filmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo, New York following a brief illness.
Tony was born in and was a life long resident of the Buffalo area. He had a huge heart,
always ready to give, help and entertain people he didin't even know. In fact he would
give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He once took in a homeless couple, housed,
supported, fed and encouraged to live in a much more rewarding situation.
Anthony was employed for many years as a head waiter at a variety of popular restaraunts
including the Friars Table in Buffalo, New York.
He was predeceased by a sister, Denice Humphrey; a brother, Dominic Balistrere and his
step-father, Walter Beanblossom.
Surviving are his mother, Marguerite Panasci Beanblossom; father, Anthony D. (Frances)
Balistrere, niece, Brittney Humphrey; nephew, Steven D. Orsini; great nephews, Jayden
and Noah and a great niece, Ariana. he also leaves behind his dog "Pandee" whom he loved
more than anything.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in St. John
The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1085 EnglewoodDrive, Tonawanda, New York. Burial
in Niagara Falls Memorial Park will be private. Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral
(Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst New York on Wednesday, April 20. 2022
