Our entire family remembers "Carm" as a friend. She was a lifeline between home and the bank, answering questions, rescuing us when we were forgetful, checking on us when we were sick. Don especially remembers her fondly for her kindnesses and devoted service of many, many years. She honored him every time she came to work. She spoke so often of her family - Marie, George, their children, Amy and George - we felt we knew them. We are sorry we were not in town for her funeral proceedings. Special thoughts for Marie who will miss her. And so will we. Blessings always on behalf of the Dussing family.
I was very sorry to learn of Carmel's death. I am now retired and live in Florida and was unable to visit the family to express my condolences personally.
I first met Camela in 1965 at the M&T Bank's Midtown Office. She was the private secretary of the Senior Vice President who was responsible for that location. After his retirement and my advancement in another location, I asked Carm to join me as my assistant. She served in that capacity for over 25 years.
During that time she took on greater responsibilities and became a key employee. In addition to being extremely competent, she was totally professional in every way. She was an example to everyone she associated with. Needless to say, after her long association with me we became personal friends. My wife and family knew her and depended on her in many ways.
In addition to all that Carm was a good and thoughtful person. I know she will be greatly missed by her friends and family and, of course, me.
Regional President (retired)

We are saddened to hear of Melina's passing. Although we hadn't seen Melina in a number of years, we still remember her sweet smile and kind face. We will miss her and hope that in time your painful grief will be replaced by the comfort of her memory.
